About JXH.org

Built by a combat veteran, for combat veterans.

JXH.org grew out of a simple truth: for many who have served in combat, the hardest part comes after — and few things help more than time with people who understand.

Our story

Why we exist

JXH.org was founded by a combat veteran who knows firsthand how difficult reintegrating into civilian life can be after deployment. In his own experience, nothing helped more than simply being around other veterans — sharing a meal, swapping stories, and being understood without having to explain.

That's the whole idea behind JXH.org: a regular, no-pressure gathering where combat veterans can come together over dinner. No agenda, no requirements, no formality. Just the table, the food, and the company of people who've walked the same road.

JXH.org is a registered nonprofit, and it's just getting started. The first gatherings are coming soon. If that sounds like something you've been missing, we'd love to hear from you.

Our founder

From one veteran to another

JXH.org was started by a combat veteran — an infantry paratrooper who served in Afghanistan. After his last deployment, he experienced how isolating the return to civilian life can be, and how much of a difference it made to spend time with other combat veterans who simply got it.

He created JXH.org to build that same space for others: a standing invitation to share a meal and a sense of belonging. This isn't a program run by people who read about the need — it's a space made by a combat veteran who lived it.

"The thing that helped me most was a seat at a table with people who understood. That's what I want to give back."
